A Message of Gratitude from Lilian

To the SAVOR community,

As practitioners of mindfulness, we know that everything is impermanent and that this moment is the only moment that matters. As 2014 comes to a close, it’s natural to reflect on events passed and ponder our aspirations for the year to come.

For me, my moments of reflection come with a smile.

It has already been four years since the release of SAVOR: Mindful Eating, Mindful Life, yet I continue to be humbled by the continuous and overwhelmingly positive feedback, both from this community and from others who have recently read the book for the first (or second, third, or fourth!) time:

“This book has changed my life for the better.”

“Not just for eating, a guide for all your life. Wisdom words to know how to take care of yourself and others.”

“The book has given me more than just food to become mindful of - it has led me on a path of daily mindfulness and presence in all aspects of my life.”

“An excellent handbook for anyone wanting to live more mindfully. Mindful eating, moving, breathing -- living -- is covered in an easily accessible way. My copy is full of notes and highlights. Best book of its genre I've read.”

From weight loss and weight maintenance triumphs to sentiments of renewed fulfillment in daily life, I am overjoyed that our words and guidance have made an impact on so many. Additionally, I am inspired by such a strong community of supporters that make this online platform and our active Facebook page worthwhile. Together, we have created a strong and nourishing SAVOR sangha, and I hope you all feel supported by this community—I know I do.

The plans for the year to come are exciting, and will continue to be grounded by the mindful living principles in these pages. Already, the audio version of the book is available for preorder on Amazon.

Mindfulness is a journey that we are all on together, and to practice and feel its benefits is truly a gift:

“I have already passed this book onto many people in my life who want to grow their mind and body stronger.”

This holiday season, along with giving loved ones your true presence, I invite you to share your personal experiences and give the transforming gift of mindfulness to others in your life.

With all good wishes,
Lilian Cheung
